The plantable papers used in the invitations and favors are
made from 100% recycled post-consumer paper, soy-based inks, and organic
pigments, making them very earth friendly! The paper is hand-made
using a very careful process that allows for excellent germination.
To plant the paper, prepare a pot of soil or small patch of garden.
Place the plantable paper on top.
Spread a thin layer of soil onto the
paper. Water well and give plenty of sunshine. Keep moist until seeds
germinate, 2-8 weeks.
The plants will grow right out of the paper. Plantable paper seed mix
includes some or all of these annual and perennial wildflowers:
five-spot, annual candytuft, baby blue eyes, scarlet flax, rocket
larkspur, Siberian wallflower, black-eyed Susan, blue flax, sweet
William pinks, corn poppy, dwarf columbine, lemon mint, zinnia,
forget-me-not, sweet alyssum, birds-eye, coreopsis, snap dragon, and
catchfly.
Some of the flowers will readily reseed to grow new flowers again
next year; others are perennial, and will return each spring. See some
of the beautiful results below!
